Permanently Delete Facebook Messages
How To Permanently Delete Messages From Facebook
Step 1. Click the "Messages" icon on your Facebook homepage. The Messages icon lies in the leading left edge and appears like 2 little overlapping speech bubbles.
Step 2. Click the conversation including the message or messages you intend to delete. If it is not noted on the initial Messages pop-up window, click "See All" to view every one of your personal messages. Click the conversation on that list consisting of the message you wish to delete.
Step 3. Click the "Actions" button and then click "Delete Messages" on the Actions drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the check boxes located beside the messages you wish to remove.
Click "Delete" and afterwards click "Delete Messages" to confirm that you intend to remove the chosen messages.
Tip
To erase an entire discussion rather than specific messages, click "Delete Conversation" after clicking the Actions menu in the third action.
Warning
Removing a private message in your Messages inbox does not delete it from the inbox of your conversation companion.
